Our Story

 

Hello, I am Fannilia Caines owner and operator  of  Nillias Flair.

Handcrafting has always been something I enjoyed as a child. My journey began with making candles as a creative outlet to a pleasurable way for me to spend my leisure time. After successfully making my first candle, I became hooked and began to produce more! Before I knew it I had created so many candles that I started giving them away as gifts for every occasion. After all, one can only burn so many candles!

 I quickly progressed from candle making to soap making after having enrolled in a locally offered soap making class.

 My urge for making deodorant sparked when my son entered his preteen years and began struggling to control his underarm odor. Everything we tried including just plain old baking soda left him with an underarm rash. Desperate to find a solution I enrolled in an online  Aromatherapy School offering courses in the formulation of Natural Body Care Products with my interest on high alert. Using the knowledge gained from the classes, I formulated and made my first deodorant. It was as hard as rock! But I did not give up. Not wanting to give up on helping my son, I continued experimenting with varying percentages of my ingredients until I finally  created one that was not only effective with the odor but also had an easy glide.  My success  and excitement of one effective deodorant led me to produce more!  Again I started giving the excess away as gifts.

It was in that moment that Nillias Flair was born; inspired by the incredible feedback received from the gift recipients and the tremendous encouragement to “put it out there”.  Our  mission at Nillias Flair is  to produce  high quality, clean, safe and effective products to benefit the whole family. In addition to formulating effective odor neutralizing deodorants, Nillias Flair also offers  Body care and Home Fragrance products all handcrafted  in small batches to ensure freshness and quality.
